The colour blue supports observations of high clouds on Mars. Contrast is increased. The dark red structures appear darker and this makes it the perfect filter for observing the gas giant Jupiter's large red spots. Saturn’s rings are accentuated, structures in Venus’ atmosphere become more delicate.
