Lens sun filter for observation in white light
- The filter foil is clamped flat between two aluminum rings
- Infinitely adjustable clamp on the tube
- Suitable for all telescope constructions except the Schiefspiegler, also for finderscopes and binoculars
The secure fixation of the sun filter on the tube or dew cap is made by four threaded columns made of polyamide with precisely adjustable clamping action. The filters can be additionally secured if necessary, eg in public tours, and are then only wantonly to remove.
The AstroSolar filter film from Baader-Planetarium of density ND5, known for its excellent optical quality, is used for visual and photographic applications.
In case of damage, the film can be easily replaced.
Which filter fits your telescope? Under the tab "Downloads" you will find a PDF that shows you all available filter sizes. You can see the size of the outside diameter for each size, for which the filter can be attached. One can not close directly from the telescope opening on the filter size, especially since a dew cap is firmly attached to many instruments. So it's best to simply measure yourself the outside diameter of your telescope.
B like Bino: The filter holder is cut on the outside so that it can also be used on binoculars with roof prisms. Of course you have to buy two filters for this.
