The MVH502AH is a video panhead with a flat base and an internal 3/8" thread. It works perfectly with all tripods. Due to the innovative bridging design and the combination of high-quality features, Manfrotto video heads from the new 502HD range are the ideal solution for camcorders and VDSLRs up to 4kg.
The tripod heads are made completely from aluminium which means they guarantee stability and smooth panning during shooting. A long quick release plate allows the camera to be optimally balanced out. The camera support is suitable for the latest generation of cameras and has an 3/8“ Easy Link thread. This allows accessories to be mounted, such as monitors or lights. The camera’s flash socket can then be used for other accessories or kept free to lower the centre of gravity.
The variable fluid friction system (FDS) on the pivot and tilt axes is supported by ball bearings and, therefore, facilitates exceptionally smooth and precise pivot and tilt movements. An innovative red aluminium ring allows friction on the pivot axis to be comfortably handled. The MVH 502 Manfrotto video heads have a permanent counterweight of 4kg. (CBS: Counter Balance System). This enables quick set-up and an elevated camera whilst shooting. To comfortably remove the camera, there is a safety lock to release the quick release plate on the front of the tripod heads for both MVH502 models. The pivot handle can be attached to either the right or left of the head, depending on your preference. To protect the environment, Manfrotto completely avoids using PVC when manufacturing pivot handles.
