Adventure in the world of darkness
Thanks to its pocket size, the Axion fits perfectly in one hand, which means excellent handling and great usability. The compact design makes it the ideal thermal imaging monocular for tracking or for spontaneous observation.
Long detection range
A powerful objective lens combined with the 12µm professional thermal imaging sensor offers exclusive detection possibilities. A 1.8 metre tall object can be detected from a distance of 1,300 metres in absolute darkness.
12 µm thermal imaging sensor
The new 12µm thermal imaging sensor allows for higher magnification and a greater observation range. This also enabled the unit to be so compact in design.
Robust all-metal housing
The magnesium alloy metal construction ensures the device's rigidity and high dielectric strength together with a low weight and extremely good ergonomics.
High optical magnification
Axion offers the highest magnification in the compact thermal imaging camera class. The optical magnification can be increased with a digital zoom to effectively identify the objects being observed.
Instant power on
Thanks to innovative electronics, the device can be started almost immediately. The quick start helps to save energy and to prolong the operating time. The Axion can be reactivated very quickly when needed.
LCOS micro display
High-contrast LCOS micro display delivers good resolution and ensures a sharp and vividly coloured image.
Completely waterproof
IPX7 water protection protects the Axion from heavy rain, snow or other precipitation. The device can even survive a 30-minute immersion in water that is 1 metre deep.
Low weight
Low weight becomes a particularly important parameter when carrying equipment in a rucksack on long hikes, when every gram counts. The Axion weighs around 300 grams - no more than a normal range finder, but offers an exceptionally wide range of functions.
Picture-in-picture mode
When activated, the picture-in-picture function displays a small window with the zoomed part of the image at the top of the screen.
