With the CQ350, Sky-Watcher presents a mount that sits between the EQ6-R and the EQ8-R . It can be used for mobile astrophotography, garden observatories or club observatories. It is therefore available both with and without a tripod.
The equatorial CQ350 Pro has the well-established SynScan™ computer control with 42,900 objects in the integrated database. These can be easily accessed using the Messier, NGC and other catalog numbers. With an optional WiFi dongle, it is possible to control the mount via an app with iOS or Android devices.
The mount was developed for the demanding astrophotographer , its maximum load is 35kg. The combined dovetail bar clamp for 45 and 75mm dovetail bars allows a large selection of telescope tubes and other accessories to be accommodated.
The quietly working mount is moved in both axes via belt drives with stepper motors (encoder resolution: 55,193,600 counts/rev., approx. 0.023 arc-second). The smooth running and the high panning speed make this mount very interesting for observatories with public tours.
The scope of delivery includes two counterweights, each weighing 10 kg. An external polar finder can optionally be connected for quick setup.
The CQ350 mount is compatible with the EQ8 column stand.
