This model is a reproduction of the moving cubic quadrant dated 1736 and attributed to David Beringer of Augsburg (Germany).

It is equipped with an articulated bar that allows the cube to be tilted in the North-South direction, and a plumb line on the East face that moves on a graduated scale and allows the instrument to be adapted to the latitude of the measurement site.

Works great but the north and south poles of the compass are reversed...causing it to give me the wrong point. (I compared the picture on the official website, it is indeed reversed) But I don't want to return or exchange, so I used a sticker to mark it.
