The Discovery Artisan 512 Digital Microscope was created specifically for studying opaque specimens. Thanks to the polarization filter, shiny things can also be observed very well, as this special filter puts disruptive reflections in their place. The microscope is excellent for working with jewelry, circuit boards, minerals, coins, small metal objects, as well as minerals and biological samples. You can also take pictures and videos with the integrated camera. This can be quite useful if you want to digitally archive your observations.
The camera with a resolution of 5 megapixels is equipped with 8 LEDs for lighting . The lighting brightness can be regulated, so it can always be perfectly adapted to the respective situation. The camera enables magnifications of 10-300x , with an additional digital zoom, very high magnifications of up to 1200x are also possible. The full color, detailed image is displayed on the built-in 12.7 cm LCD screen. The screen also makes longer work with the instrument much more comfortable than with the eyepiece of a conventional microscope. The color screen has a fine and detailed resolution.
The microscope can also be connected to external monitors, televisions or computers . All necessary cables are already included in the set. So you don't have to buy anything. You need a memory card to take photos and videos; this is not included. The device works with microSD cards with a capacity of up to 32 GB. Software is supplied with the microscope, which you should install on a computer. With it you can measure objects: you can measure radius, diameter, length, angle (with three points) and much more.
